Definition
Our
Active Fattening Slaughter contains high levels of energy and starch, developed
to be used in the last two months before the slaughter of fattened animals. It
is carefully formulated and produced in order to provide a fast body weight
shot for the last period of the food and a positive effect on meat quality.
Benefits
• It
is a feed recommended to be used for 2 months before slaughter in order to meet
the increasing energy need before slaughter. It contains starch and sugar that
will positively affect the carcass quality.
•
When used in recommended amounts, it minimizes the problem of feeding-related
carcass dark meat.
•
Animals reach slaughter maturity quickly as recommended and in intensive use.
•
Buffer substances are used to minimize tympani, acidosis and laminitis problems
that may occur due to intense feeding at the end of the feed.
•
Feeding programs recommended for high live weight gain should be followed.
Advices
• If
you are just starting the ACTIVE CUTTING feed, switch to it by mixing it with
your old feed for at least 10 days.
• In
planning the shelters of our livestock, the dry litter area per animal should
be at least 1 m2 per 100 kg live weight. It would also be good if the
navigation area is 1 floor of it.
• It
is very important for our livestock to have a feeder area of at least 40-50
cm per animal in free systems in order to avoid competition and to ensure free
access to feed.
• It
is important that we provide clean and potable water for our livestock 24 hours
a day.
• Our
livestock should have access to feed for 24 hours.
• It
would be appropriate to give 1 kg of concentrate for every 50 kg of live weight
at the beginning of fattening.
• We
should keep our livestock in paddocks that are not too crowded and of a close
age and live weight as possible. We should not change the paddocks of our
animals unless necessary.
• We
must keep quarantine paddocks for our livestock. We must create the necessary
preventive vaccination and treatment programs.
