Definition
Active
Heifer Feed is carefully formulated and produced to feed heifers that have
completed their sixth month until their birth, up to 3 weeks, ie up to the
twenty-three month period, and to obtain maximum milk yield during both growth,
conception and milking periods.
Features
Our
Active Heifer feed, which contains 18% crude protein, is designed to grow and
develop our heifer without fat.
It
meets the vitamins, minerals and other nutrients they need for a healthy diet,
and there is no need for any vitamin& mineral supplements if nutritional
recommendations are followed.
Heifers
max. 750 gr. They should be fed in such a way as to increase live weight. If
they are fed excessively, their offspring and milk yields are negatively
affected during the lactation period.
It
promotes regular breast development without lubrication and minimizes the
problem of udder edema that may occur after birth in heifers.
It
provides balanced growth for heifers to come to heat at the appropriate time.
Advices
Daily
live weight gain should be targeted as 750 g and grading should be followed
continuously. Excessive body weight gain is undesirable as it will cause an
increase in non-functional fat tissue in the breast tissue. Overfeeding should
be avoided, especially after pregnancy.
Our
heifers start to show anger when they reach 45-50% of their live weight (at the
age of 10-12 months). However, these ages are too early for insemination.
When
our heifers reach 70 percent of their adult body weight (14-15 months/ 130 cm
wither height), they should be inseminated.
Egg
quality will be lower in our heifers that did not reach the required withers
before 14 months of age, and if pregnancy takes shape, milk yield will remain
low in the first lactation.
For a
trouble-free birth, your animal will be at 23-25. It is aimed to be 500-600 kg
live weight in months.
Care
should be taken to use high quality roughages in rations.
Care
should be taken to feed roughages with high energy content, such as corn
silage, and heavy consumption should be avoided.
We
must allow our heifers to reach clean drinking water and food for 24 hours.
