BARLEY FLAKE FEED:
As a result of the analyzes made in the
quality control laboratory, the barley that meets the criteria is transferred
to the cooking boiler (Steam Cheast) after being purified from foreign
materials. Here, the barley, which is cooked at the appropriate temperature
(120-130 °C) with steam for 35 - 45 minutes, is passed through crushing rollers
(flaker) and is crushed into flakes at the appropriate thickness (1.5 mm), and
the starch is gelatinized. The barley, whose digestion has reached the maximum
level, is cooled in special cooling bands. After being reduced to the
appropriate temperature and humidity, the product is packed in silos.
Barley, which passes through these
production stages, gelatinizes the starch in its body, increases its
digestibility, increases the use of starch and energy of barley grain, and
increases meat and milk yield by 10-15%.
